Happy Halloween! 🎃 The House of Fallen Trees has been looming ominously in the distance ever since I started up my renovation of Downtown. I've been intimidated, but time had come to attack; and what better time to do it than around Halloween?

Added the Tricou to my Pleasantview Rotation, aged John Smith and Jennicor down, turned them all (except the Teens) into Vampires and gave them a make over. I moved them into @/Plumbtales House of Fallen Trees in Downtown.

From top left to bottom right we got Jennicor, John Smith, Jennail, Kvornan, Nylissit, Kiernan, Gvaudoin and Fricorith. They are all so gorgeus, I love them! I need to give Jennicor her Face Tattoo back, but I only downloaded some after I already did the screenshots so she is without it there. Also they are constantly fighting so they need a lot of micromanaging, but they are a fun family and I looove the Tricou lore! Fricorith already got a PV girly pregnant... although I usually don't play with Teen-Pregnancy, but I had a fun story for one of my sweet Bachelor Girls in mind. I cannot wait for the teens to grow into adults so I can make them vampires too!

The House of Fallen Trees was the home of the Tricou family, before they all met their mysterious deaths. Strangely the basement is home to two coffins. This may indicate a vampiric streak in the Tricous, but it is not clear when the coffins were placed there, so it is not certain...

Here are two pics from Jennicor Tricou's household. She just lost her husband, Jon Smith Tricou, and is very heartbroken about that. That's the reason her daughter Jennail decided to move in with her family to support her mother during this difficult time. Jennail and Kvornan had two more sons in the meantime and now the house is full of life again. Hopefully it's a little consolation for Jennicor. 🙏🏼

I decided to give the House of Fallen Trees a makeover. With it's dark ambiance and haunted history, the idea of making the house into something old and rickety was SO appealing to me. I wanted it to look old and abandoned, but I also wanted to keep the style very Maxis-Match. I used the demolition set for the holes in the walls, and the 4t2 eco trash piles worked amazingly, and the 4t2 vampire wall decalls worked amazingly too. I also used the Numenor floor and wall decalls, too. I could've probably trashed it up more, but I was getting tired and ready to call it a day. 😂

I kept the original layout of the house. The only thing I really 'fixed' was the basement... I only made it as deep as that first staircase. There was no reason for the basement to go all the way into the depths of hell to reach a couple of coffins.

The night lighting is sort of weird in some of these pics... not sure if it's downtown or my ReShade, but the imposter lots are very bright even at night. Oh well. Shrug.

Below you can read my little storyline about how the house ended up this way. The goal is eventually to move a family in and have them fix the place up, aka I placed all this junk just to eventually get rid of it, lmao.

The House of Fallen Trees has seen better days...

Purchased by John Smith Tricou for his wife, Jennicor Tricou. The Tricou family was fabulously wealthy: both their power and influence rivaled that of some of the other greater families in the SimState area, such as the Goths and Landgrabbs.

Some in Downtown say that the house has always had bad energy, that the house had been built on the ruins of the home of the Grey Lady of Sim City. Others say that the negative energy came later. Regardless, several generations of the Tricou family lived here.... and many met their untimely end here, as well. The last known living inhabitant, Rainelle Neengia, was allegedly scared by ghosts. She'd lived in the home for less than twenty-four hours.

The more skeptical say that Rainelle simply left her TV dinner in the oven and died trying to put out the fire.

After Rainelle's death, the house was abandoned... and over time, it fell into ruins. Walls started to crack, and fall apart. Pieces of the floor gave way, while the carpet aged. The little furniture left behind began to rot and fall apart. Teens used the house as a secret hangout, further trashing the place and littering it with debris.

Some whisper that vampires use the house as a meeting place... it's hard to say, after all, it does get very dark at night.

Regardless, what might happen next? Who knows. Downtown's city council has expressed interest in condemning the property. The Sim City Preservation Society, led by Mrs. Crumplebottom, believes the home is worth saving, and plan to host a fundraiser to do just that.

imagine my joy when fricorith joined tish at the wedding arch and changed into his own beautiful wedding dress, that i had no hand in choosing. tish is thinking "he does dress better than i do... what do i bring to the relationship?" her "marry a rich sim" want was fulfilled, but it wasn't just about the money: they have three bolts of chemistry too.

here we see a typical breakfast at the tricous: jon usually cooks as the self-appointed mother hen. gvaudoin doesn't get along with her parents nylissit and kiernan (i get the vibe they were neglectful), but feels differently about her aunt jennail, who understands gvaudoin's ambition and drive.

That's all from Capp Manor, at least for now! Originally I had a big epic storyline planned for this household but, honestly, there was enough going on with Consort's death and two weddings. Plus I enjoy regular old gameplay more than fancy pre-planned stories at the moment, haha.

I am thinking I will most likely move Tybalt and Tiave out on their own next season, but haven't decided whether they will also bring along Cordelia. Maybe she'd prefer to keep an eye on Juliette? Or move in with Malcolm Downtown? I dunno yet!

As for Juliette and Junior, I'm interested to see where their marriage takes them. Juliette always dreamt of having a large family, but has she changed too much for that to still be worth pursuing? Will Junior come clean about his existing kid, Rose? I'm excited to find out :D

As for the Montys, we'll be seeing them soon...
